With my quality-over-quantity shopping philosophy this year, Darllenydd Blog, pieces from Fifi Chachnil‘s Ready To Wear collection have been the very best investment. You may have seen Fifi’s high-waist pencil skirt on the blog before (yma in the purple colour) but the black colour is my favourite and it’s a perfect foundation for a high quality capsule wardrobe. I’m wearing this black ‘Francette’ sgert here with Fifi’s cosy warm Angora cardigan. Every time I put this cardigan on it is so hard to take off because it feels amazing against my skin. This cardigan comes in several colours – red, emerald green ac bright pink included. I almost wish Fifi did a longer version of this cardigan to wrap myself up in, but on the other hand the retro styling goes well with many of my spring dresses with a fit and flare and the copious amounts of high-waist denim I have in my wardrobe. With Mad Men returning soon for another series, I predict a resurgence of interest in these styles.

Thank you to Fifi for making my weekends feel so good!
*If you have concerns about the ethical nature of Angora – be reassured that Fifi’s wool comes from the lovingly brushed fur of Angora bunny rabbits that frolic freely through the fields of Normandy, France.
